SCRIPTURE TEXTS- Psa. 32:2-5 ;Luke 23:38-42;Gal. 5;1,13; 1 Pet. 2:16               

 

There is mis- teaching and no teaching on this subject. Yes, Jesus Christ nailed sin to the cross(Isa.53:5); however,God forgives the Cause of Sin(Rom.5:1-5); God does not forgive the effects of sin(Rom.6:23). The Cause of Sin(Rom. 8:1;

1 Peter 3:16) which is the spiritual and emotional side of sin;however, there is an Effect of Sin(Gal. 6:7;Matt. 5:25) which is the physical and legal side of sin.

 

God forgives us for our spiritual and emotional side in order that we can have a relationship with him( Psa. 66:18) as well as our fellow man(Matt. 5:21,22;Matt.18:15-18).

 

This is a lesson for the church and the world; deal with problems while they are in the spiritual and emotional side(Prayer and Counseling), before they become physical and legal(Medical and Law Enforcement. God will forgive this sin after you have went through the consequences of it and it meets God's criteria of repentance;of course God can do anything in his mercey;however, don't take it for granted(Luke 23:38-42).

 

There has to be that balance even in spiritual matters that involves spiritual standards, public image, discipline and forgiveness(1 Cor. 5:1-13;11 Cor. 2:1-11;Rom. 14:16).
