TREASURE THE MOMENT

Mother's Day has come and gone and now its father's turn,
Events in life come and go, but memories of father still in my mind burn.
I can still picture him setting at the table in our humble home,
But lessons I learned from him, life still goes on.
Dad would say to me, I know life is hard, and you can make it and I say yes I can,
I would give anything within reason to hear him say those words again.
Time is fleeting, full of uncertain variables,
But what he taught me to achieve in life is what you bring to the table.
For those whose dad's are living, you have the valued ultimate,
Don't take dad's for granted, but while they live, treasure the moment.
