Theme: How To Build Your Patience Level ?

Text:     11 Pet. 1:5-7

 

    People who have no patience, usually are lacking in faith and lacking faith(Matt. 17:17,20;Heb. 11:6). This is because people are carnallyEarthly)minded(Luke 10:40,41;1 Cor. 2:14,15).

    Noticed the Apostle Peter lets us know there is no easy road to patience(success over obstacles); but add to your faith(energy, substance structure of purpose, virtue(sincerity,purity and integrity of character,  knowledege(truths of God and truths of History, Science, and Law), knowldege is temperance(self control, discipline) and to tempereance which is this patience.  When one is lacking patience, they usually are lagging in faith  and/or  lacking faith period. Faith and Virtue is your Attitude, Knowledge(Aptitude), and Temperance that lead to Patience is your Altitude.

 

    Here are some steps in attaining patience: 

 

      1. Wait on the Lord---Isa. 40:31;Ex. 12:14,15;Eccl. 3:1;

                                           Romans 5:3-4;John 5:3,4,5,7-9;

                                          James 1:3; 1 Sam. 14:7-4; 1 Sam.15:22

 

 

      2. Trusting in the Lord-----Psa. 37:1-3;Psa. 27:14;Prov.3:5

 

      3. Learning to Be

         Spiritually Minded-1 Cor. 2:14,15; Col. 3:1-5;  Gal. 5:16

 

     4. Have Spiritual Values and Priorities--Phil. 4:8;Matt. 6:33;

                                                                               Galatians 6:7,8,9

 

     5. Seeking and Resting in

         God's Wisdom--Prov.9:10;Eccl. 9:11;;Psa. 25:14;

                                       Matt.10:19;1 Cor. 10:23; Acts 5:38,39
